Beyond understanding the required math, scoring well on the ACT has to do conquering those careless errors, because there is no partial credit on the ACT, - and being able to read and understand word problems. I can help on both fronts. I review the math covered by the ACT - algebra, geometry, data and statistics, and the required trig/advanced algebra 2. Even for those who have not yet had algebra 2 or trig, the ACT is very predictable, so we can prepare a student for the types of questions the ACT asks in those areas. More importantly, I teach a method to read word problems and quickly and confidently write down the equation to be solved. No more wasting time with your head spinning, wondering "what are they asking me?!!!". We'll build basic skills and talk about strategies to move through the test to maximize your score.
